Hinterland Studio – a new studio formed by veterans of Relic, BioWare, Riot & Volition veterans – has announced today the development of its first title, The Long Dark. The Long Dark is said to be a first-person post-disaster survival simulation, set in the aftermath of a geomagnetic super storm that has destroyed North America’s technology infrastructure, that is aimed for an episodic release. The game is supported by the Canada Media Fund, and Hinterland will be launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter on September 16th.
