Crytek’s CEO believes that Crysis 3 PC will rival the graphical capabilities of next-gen consoles

Crytek’s CEO, Cevat Yerli, is back with a punch. Yerli has been constantly hyping the Crysis franchise, and PC gamers hated that guy for claiming that the first Crysis would be fully playable on max settings with a 8800GTX. Truth be told, Crysis was perfectly playable on an 8800GTX, provided you were running the game at a somehow low resolution and in DX9 mode. Even though CryEngine 3 modders have been hard at work developing and polishing their maps and mods this past week, they did not share a lot from their on-going projects. Therefore, today we bring you new shots and images from Yeardley Diamond, swetanksaini, Tom Yum 72, chicken, matthewhxq, tpotpro38, supersandfurz, Knutas93, PianoPolish and CDeniz. The highlight of this week is PianoPolish’s map. As always, it all comes down to personal taste and we’re pretty sure that some may think that PianoPolish’s map look rubbish due to its extreme contrast settings. Flipping tanks in Battlefield 3 can be surprisingly fun

Back in November, the guys over 1080PixelGaming have released a mind-blowing Battlefield 3 video where they flipped a tank onto the roof of a building. It looked great, and the team is back with a punch, with a new video that puts that previous tank flipping clip to shame. In this new video, the team has managed to flip a tank over a canal and land it onto another roof. It looks fun, it looks great, and we highly recommend watching it. New Spectacular Crysis 3 Screenshots & Artworks

Crytek has unveiled some new screenshots and artworks for Crysis 3. Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay, and these new images showcase the game’s graphics. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. EA has updated its help page regarding the stuttering and framerate issues of Need For Speed: Most Wanted PC, stating that Criterion has been working on resolving them and has made some improvements that will be added in an upcoming PC patch for it. Crysis 3 will get an online cinematic video series, teaser trailer released

Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced a creative partnership with renowned filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming sandbox shooter, Crysis 3. Entitled, “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”, this cinematic series will set the stage for this latest installment in the Crysis series and introduce weapons, enemies, and gameplay features new to the franchise. These cinematic shorts will also showcase the stunning visuals, dynamic environments of the urban rainforest and intense adaptive warfare fans can expect when Crysis 3 ships on Friday 22 February in UK. BioWare is working on a new DLC for Mass Effect 3 with nine writers & three composers

Battlefield 3 PC – Server & Client Updates Released

DICE has released a new server and a new client update for the PC version of Battlefield 3. The client patch is similar to the one that was released for consoles, last week. The server patch, on the other hand, includes the ability to tailor Gun Master mode to your liking as it adds 5 new weapon lists to it. You can view its complete changelog below. Crysis 3 – PC System Requirements Revealed, DX11 Spotted As A Minimum GPU Requirement

Crytek and Electronic Arts have officially revealed the PC system requirements for Crysis 3. Although these specs can be found on Crytek’s official website, we suspect that they are not the real deal.
