Bigben Interactive has acquired the developers of Styx and Call of Cthulhu, Cyanide

Bigben has announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of Cyanide, a French studio developing video games. As the press release reads, in the wake of Bigben’s increased stake in the capital of the Kylotonn Racing studio, this transaction will allow the Group, until now a publisher and distributor of video games, to fully integrate the development phase of games. YouTube’s ‘Gamesworld Gameplay’ has shared a video, showing five minutes of gameplay footage from Cyanide’s Call of Cthulhu. Call of  Cthulhu is described as an RPG-Investigation game with psychological horror and stealth mechanics, set in a deeply immersive world. Call of Cthulhu – Official E3 2017 Trailer

It appears that the official E3 2017 trailer for Cyanide’s upcoming Call of Cthulhu game has surfaced. In Call of Cthulhu, players take the role of a Private Detective, Edward Pierce, who is on a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island. Styx: Shards of Darkness – PC Performance Analysis

Back in the 90s, the PC was flooded with stealth games. These days, however, there have been very few titles embracing these mechanics. Sure thing, we’ve got games that offer stealth approaches (Dishonored 2 and the latest Deus Ex games), but apart from HITMAN there haven’t been any games relying completely on stealth mechanics.
