MaLDo’s Latest Screenshots Comparison; MaLDo Texture Pack 3.0 will feature various fixes and shadows on grass

MaLDo released some brand new comparison shots between his upcoming 3.0 Texture Pack and Crysis 2 DX11 Official High-Resolution Pack. As we can see, MaLDo has not only updated the textures but has also included shadows on grass, fixed some tessellation bugs and some other minor details. Crysis 2 – New Screenshots from MaLDo’s upcoming Texture Pack

MaLDo released nine brand new screenshots of his upcoming Texture Pack for Crysis 2. As always, MaLDo’s textures look great and this latest version of his Pack will be released soon. Crash Bandicoot Returns Mod for Crysis is currently on hold

Remember that amazing mod for Crysis that is based on Naughty Dog’s platform game? Well, we have some bad news for you as Crash Bandicoot Returns is currently on hold. Now before jumping to early conclusions, this has nothing to do with the game’s copyrights. Weekly CryEngine 3 Gallery [18 – 25 September]; Terrain awesomeness

So here we are today with another bunch of CryEngine 3 shots and bloody hell, Wenda’s map looks phenomenal. Wenda is experimenting with CryEngine 3’s terrain capabilities and his map is among the best we’ve ever seen. Contrary to other modders, Wenda nailed the atmosphere and the TOD settings. Crytek’s ‘Think Inside & Outside The Box’ Competition Winners Announced + Screenshots

Crytek announced today the winners of its first CryDev’s official competition and we have some screenshots of these winning maps. Coming in at number 3 is The Vulture with his Cry-Museum, a map that is basically a room of small cabinets with Crysis assets scaled down and made into small scenes. At number 2 is Duruk with his Journey to the sun, a map that is inspired by Alien (first movie when the ship goes into alert), Deadspace, Solaris & Sunshine. Timesplitters Bank Map Remade on CryEngine 3

There are rumors that Crytek might be developing the next part of the Timesplitters series but as nothing is certain at this point, someone decided to recreate the first game’s Bank level in Crysis 2. If you haven’t played Timesplitters, it will certainly look dated to you. But let us tell you that this map stays true to the one that was based on and that’s a plus in our books. Crytek dev admits; Crysis was an unoptimized mess, Crysis 2 didn’t implement tessellation properly

If there is one Crysis modder that we highly respect, this is definitely Xzero. You may have heard him as he is the one behind the amazing POM + AF mod, a mod that is essential to pretty much everyone that wants to replay Crytek’s game and enables parallax occlusion mapping with Anisotropic Filtering. And although Xzero got a job to Crytek – by creating all his amazing graphical mods, his attitude hasn’t changed.
