Capcom surprised everyone back in December 2016 when it released a PC demo for Resident Evil 7. That demo ran incredibly well on the PC, so we were really curious to see whether the final version of the game would be as polished as that demo. Capcom declined sending us a review code, which is why our PC Performance Analysis was slightly delayed. Phil Spencer announced that Resident Evil 7 will be a “Xbox Play Anywhere” game. This basically means that those who purchase the Xbox One version will have access to the PC version, and that those PC gamers who decide to purchase the game via the Windows Store will get access to the Xbox One version. Resident Evil 7 Demo – New patch improves HBAO+ performance, adds support for CPUs without SSE4.1

Capcom has released a patch for the PC demo of Resident Evil 7. According to the release notes, this patch adds support for CPUs without SSE4.1 (AMD Phenom and Intel Core2 series) and improves HBAO+ performance. Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour – 4K Screenshots

Capcom has released the PC demo for Resident Evil 7 and below you can find some 4K screenshots from it. The PC demo of Resident Evil 7 looks and runs great. Capcom has implemented numerous graphics settings to tweak, and given its slow-paced nature, the game is playable (20-30fps) in 4K even on a single GTX980Ti.
