Project Reality Team has announced that the first beta of their Project Reality: ARMA 2 modification is out now. According to the team, this initial beta release should not be considered a final product. It’s quite refreshing looking at a title for a niche market. But then again, this is Bohemia Interactive, the company who gave us Operation Flashpoint and the ArmA series so it’s only natural to expect special things from them. One of their upcoming games is Take On Helicopters, a flight helicopter sim game. Set above beautifully rich landscapes, it challenges players to master an authentic flight model, immersing the player in the role of a civilian helicopter pilot. The main aim for PR:ARMA2 is to create a realistic and immersive modification for ARMA 2, which focuses on encouraging teamwork through game play. Bohemia Interactive released today a bunch of new screenshots and as always, they look lovely. Especially that screenshot with the plane clearly showcases that ArmA 3 can push better visuals than those of BF3. And the attention to detail on Nikos Panagopoulos’ character is astounding. ArmA 3 sports spectacular visuals and might be the best visually – and most demanding – PC game. The game is slated for release next year, exclusively on the PC. Meridian4 announced today that Bohemia Interactive’s new stand-alone, expansion pack, ArmA II: Reinforcementshas reported for duty at retail. As an added bonus, the game available at North American retail outlets also contains the previously released Operation Arrowhead campaign and its stand-alone missions, and a detailed two-sided, printed map of the regions covered in the game. Bohemia Interactive has just informed us about the signing of an agreement with distribution giant Koch Media for the upcoming Arma X: Anniversary Edition. This agreement with Koch Media covers exclusive distribution rights for boxed copies of ARMA X: Anniversary Edition for the UK/ Eire, Nordic, Benelux and South Africa.
