World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth patch 8.1 will significantly improve CPU multi-thread under DX12

As we’ve reported back in, Blizzard has added DX12 support to World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth via patch 8.0. However, it appears that the initial DX12 results were not that ideal as DX11 was still outperforming it. Instead of sitting idle, though, Blizzard decided to improve CPU multi-thread under Microsoft’s latest API and its upcoming patch 8.1 will bring significant performance improvements. Official loot box ban has reached Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm players in Belgium

Battle for Azeroth is the fastest-selling World of Warcraft expansion, has sold 3.4 million units

Blizzard has announced that Battle for Azeroth has sold more than 3.4 million units since its first day of launch on August 14th. As such, Battle for Azeroth has set a new day-one sales record for the franchise and making it one of the fastest-selling PC games of all-time. Activision and Blizzard have released the seventh – and latest – expansion for their internationally acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth. World of Warcraft now supports DirectX 12, does no longer support fullscreen exclusive mode

It appears that Blizzard has made some noteworthy rendering changes to World of Warcraft as this massive MMORPG does no longer support the DX9 API. Overwatch patch 1.25 is now live on PTR servers, adds private profiles and endorsements

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch patch 1.25 is now live on the PTR servers. Furthermore, the team released a new developer diary in which it announced new tools that let players control their gameplay experience, the ability to reward positive behaviour and strategic gameplay with Endorsements, updates to improve overall gameplay, and plans to continue building for the future of Overwatch.
