YouTube’s member ‘noodlespagoodle’ has shared a video, showing what the original Bioshock would look like in Unreal Engine 4. noodlespagoodle used assets from Bioshock and as a result of that, the new map is as close to the original material as possible. A couple of days ago, we informed you about ‘The Brothers Rapture’, a fan-made film inspired by Irrational Games’ Bioshock. As promised, the team has released today the full length movie that can be viewed below. As its description reads, before the underwater city of Rapture collapsed beneath itself and Splicers roamed its flooded halls, men and women thrived as they explored beyond the limits of their creative and scientific achievements. Today we bring you new shots from 3D artists and CryEngine 3 modders Glode, scotthomer, Rens, chicken, QuadReaktor, ReVan1199, EliteGhost and i59. The highlight of this week is undoubtedly scotthomer’s finished Bioshock environment, as well as Rens’ finished environment based on Bungie’s Halo. These two guys will be featured in the next issue of the online Vertex magazine, so make sure to keep an eye on it. Crytek’s UK Artist, Scott Homer, has been working on recreating some Bioshock levels in CryEngine 3. We’ve featured an early screenshot of this project in one of our weekly CryEngine 3 galleries, however the artist has released some new screenshots that surely deserve the spotlight. Cry-ScottH plans to create a handful of areas, connected by glass walkways spanning between various areas of Rapture and as you may have guessed, he’s using CryEngine 3 to put the level together.
