Earlier yesterday, Devolver ran a Facebook giveaway that went downhill. The company launched a promotion on Facebook where fans of Shadow Warrior could like the new Facebook page and receive a Steam key for the original version of Shadow Warrior. However, there were a lot of issues with that promotion as Devolver was not ready yet for that promotion. Continue reading Classic Shadow Warrior Is Now Free-To-Play On Steam→
Back in April 1st, we informed you about a mod for the original Duke Nukem 3D that aimed to recreate the 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever. A lot assumed that this mod was just a hoax. After all, its debut trailer was released in April 1st. Surely that was a prank joke, right? Well, as we said back then, no it wasn’t. And today we are happy to report that Gambini & Mikko Sandt have released this mod. Continue reading Hail To The King Baby; Duke Nukem Forever 2013 Mod Is Now Available→

Devolver Digital has announced that it will be bringing the Atomic Edition of Duke Nukem 3D to Valve’s distribution service, Steam. According to the publisher, the Steam version of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition will come with some new bells and whistles, plus full Steamworks support. Devolver will unveil more details at a later date, however it is pretty obvious that the leaked Steam registry list could be true (in other words, there is still hope for Halo 3 PC). We’ve also included below a video with the High Resolution Pack of Duke Nukem 3D, so make sure to watch it! Continue reading Devolver Digital Brings “Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition” To Steam→

Now this is hilarious. Remember George Broussard? You know, the lead designer of Duke Nukem Forever and co-founder of 3D Reamls? Well, it seems that Broussard is a Halo 4 fan as he bashed a reviewer for giving 343 Industries’ title a ‘mere’ 70/100 score. Although we don’t cover console games, we can’t simply sit back and let things explode without having a good laugh, right? After all, the final version of DNF was average at best and didn’t justify that legendary ‘released WID’ moto of 3D Realms, so who is Broussard to say that reviewers are wrong? Continue reading George Broussard, games rating systems, and what devs believe about the different score scales→
I really don’t know how I should feel about this, but it seems that 3D Realms is back. Well, not the folks that worked on that studio but the company itself, as it’s co-operating with another – unknown – team for a new post-apocalyptic FPS title, called Earth No More. Pretty much like what they did with Remedy for Max Payne and with Human Head for Prey. Continue reading All Hell Breaks Loose – 3D Realms Returns With A ‘Crowdfunded’ Post-Apocalyptic FPS→
YouTube’s member ‘MrSolidSnake745’ is amazing, as he has managed to recreate – with the help of eight floppy drives – a lot of game music themes. I tell you, this guy is crazy and put a lot of work into this. His latest achievement is the recreation of Duke Nukem 3D’s theme and, ironically, it sounds pretty awesome. This is something unique and you should definitely give it a go. Congrats MrSolidSnake745 and we’re really looking forward to a new, ‘floppified’ game music theme.
