Entropy Zero 2 RTX new screenshots-1

Entropy Zero: 2 RTX is the best example of what modders can achieve with Path Tracing in older games

Modder ‘CheeseIsCool’ has shared a new set of screenshots from the latest build of Entropy Zero: 2 RTX. These screenshots look incredible, and they perfectly showcase what modders can achieve with Path Tracing in older games.

For those unaware, Entropy: Zero 2 is considered one of the best total conversion mods for Half-Life 2. Entropy: Zero 2 features a brand new campaign spanning seven chapters of content. Players can expect a narrative-driven experience with a fully-voiced and choreographed cast. Plus, you can command squads of Combine soldiers.

Even though Entropy: Zero 2 RTX is still in beta, it looks absolutely stunning. This is by far the best example of what an RTX Remix Mod can offer. The screenshots show off the new path-traced lighting system. In these screenshots, you can easily notice the improved reflections, ambient occlusion and global illumination.

Sadly, this latest version is not yet available for download. However, you can go ahead and download its previous version from the link that you can find in this article.

Since modders are getting used to the RTX Remix Open Beta tools, we can expect more mods to pop up. And yes, we’ll make sure to cover most of them.

In January, we shared several RTX Remix Mods that are in the works. As such, you can take a look at screenshots and videos for Tomb Raider 2Grand Theft Auto: Vice CityManhuntDark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Garfield Kart RTX Remix. Last week, we also shared a video from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas RTX Remix. Oh, and last month, we shared videos for Need for Speed: Most WantedTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 and Midnight Club 2.

Speaking of Path Tracing Mods for older titles, you might also want to check out the following ones. Modders have released early demos for their Path Tracing Mods for Tomb RaiderMax Payne and Call of Duty 4. Do note that the COD4 Mod is a “proof of concept” demo, and it does not look that great. On the other hand, the RTX Remix Mod for Max Payne looks amazing (at least in my opinion). Let’s also not forget the RTX Remix for COD: WoW. And then there is this amazing RTX Remix Mod for Need for Speed: Underground 2. Oh, and don’t forget to give a go at this RTX Remix for Unreal Tournament 2004. Finally, you can download Path Tracing Mods for Doom 2QuakeHalf-Life and Serious Sam.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
