Modder ‘SavrenX’ has released a must-have HD Texture Pack for Starfield that improves all of its major NPCs. This mod basically improves the Diffuse and Rough maps of the major NPCs, resulting in much better-looking characters.
Now when we say all major NPCs, we mean the ones you can talk to or fight. We’re not talking about the random NPCs that you can find roaming the streets of the game’s cities.
Going into more details, SavrenX has improved over 2500 textures. According to the modder, rough Maps are very important because, with good-quality maps, NPC facial expressions can be more realistic and natural, especially when talking. So, the modder has overhauled in 2K all the diffuse and rough maps of the major NPCs.
I’ve been using this pack during my playthrough and I highly recommend using it (you can download it from here). I should also note that It’s also compatible with the Starfield HD Reworked Project.
Speaking of Starfield, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. A couple of days ago, we shared the Disk Cache Enabler Mod which aims to reduce the game’s disk usage. Then we have this mod that solves the game’s elevated black levels/washed-out graphics. You can also use this guide in order to increase your FOV. Let’s also not forget the DLSS 2/XeSS and the DLSS 3 Frame Generation mods. Sprinting Stuttering Fix is another interesting mod that addresses some stuttering issues that could occur in Starfield while running. And finally, we have these two must-have mods that overhaul the game’s User Interface and Particle Effects.
Lastly, here are some screenshots that showcase the newly improved 2K diffuse and rough maps!

It’s literately a game about exploring a field of stars but you want everyone to be blonde haired, blue eyed, aryan children of the corn? I’m sure there’s a mod for that lmao
Pretty bold imo. You have the name KosherKing and you drop a comment like that here.
tribesters crypto army in all ethncities, religions etc for centuries, including “aryan” just look at english elite for centuries, crypto-tribesters. Funny enough we ALL pay kosher food tax on everything, billions+ for years scam everyone pays for, look for the K symbol on food package, yeah who has the most shekels you think? k=11
I appreciate that acknowledgement. If it wasn’t for my people’s boldness, we would have all been wiped out by the N@zi schmucks who’s xenophobic values you so eagerly wish to embrace.
Making assumptions about a person on the internet while knowing absolutely nothing about that person is one sign of mental inferiority.
In any case, it’s painfully obvious that Far Left Liberal Political Correctness is being pushed on everyone through media. Video games, Movies, TV Shows etc. A lot of people don’t like that, including myself. I don’t care what the Far Left Liberal snowflakes think. Just don’t try to ram that agenda down my throat in my favorite hobby (gaming). That’s not too much to ask, is it?
they are not liberal they are woke supremacist censorious fascists and fringe cringe lords.
you should have, you people have ruined everything.
white people in this game are a tiny minority almost extinct every strong character or faction leader is a girlboss, everyone is gay. The missions are about match making couples and getting coffees, i play space games to be hans solo not to play with dolls with stupid cringe dialogues as a 14 year old sexually confused tomboy.
Also no, mods that make characters white and male are not allowed, turning them into women and black is allowed.
Actually a mod to make the rando npcs look more human would be better, probably one for that afaik. What I’d really want is one for Muria at Galbank to be a companion or crew. Playing both this and cp77 PL, different games both fun, both tribestermasontranzy cultist products, like all big games etc etc etc No one plays any games that doesn’t have it in different ways. Mario gold chaser, gambling oriented, etc etc
Sounds like a giant waste of time. How long do you stare at random strangers you pass by on the street?
I don’t, but in the larger places the bugged out eyes and weird expressions are over the top and def more noticeable because of it. RDR2 had similar lower quali rando npcs but they looked mostly normal not bug eyes and very strange faces etc. Story and crew and highlighted dialogue npcs are fine in this game though, but standing around filler npcs are atrocious. This mod prob for higher res players w cards that cost 2-3x my setup, I get it I really do. Oh and just go to nexus for ANY GAME TONS of “waste of time” mods sillier than what I mentioned.
they stare at you when you get close, its weird.
I’ve thankfully not noticed the NPCs much as I run around just finishing the missions instead of “exploring” the dead world they have created. Seen more loading screens than NPC faces because of how every mission has you going through a gazillion doors and planets and city areas.
Agree it was a poor design choice, the dissonance between the word Planet meaning huge single place Vs. constant loading screens just doesn’t work well as far as design intent meaning, ” it’s huge!” marketing. Should have just had ONE system and put it all in 9 or so planets with huge detailed maps with just loading screens to enter dungeons like all previous bethesda main franchises have had. Tried to be too much, NMS is NMS don’t tack that on. Never cared for that type of farming game and prob does procedural better because that’s all it is mostly. Prey has a ton of loading screens as well btw still love it and it doesn’t pretend to be anything more than one relatively small spacestation and the areas are all handcrafted. I’m used to the loading screens few seconds not a big deal but it does break it up too much. Haters just can’t see past their noses mostly.
no space game lets you teleport everywhere because space is supposed to be big, this game is a loading screen simulator.
when i saws that gay yiddish jew who wants to preserve his culture, i lost it.
I think people have more fun in modding and fixing this game than actually playing it
Skyrim : hold my beer..
I think many would agree that the base Skyrim game with no mods whatsoever can still be an enjoyable experience. Starefield on the other hand is just so bland and mediocre that many people will resort to modding in order to try and have some fun with it.
fallout 4 sucked, best thing about it was the shooting mechanics which were ruined with bulletspongy enemies and the base building because bethesda was too lazy to build the towns themselves, starfield is like that on a no mans sky scale and the authored content is cringe and boring while the rest of the game is a giant grindfest. The only good thing i can give to this game is that it has all the checkmarks required for a space game and no other space game offers all those gameplay features and modding. But the base features are bad, so in 5 years modders will fix it.
yeah, it will be such a fun experience in 5 years when modders fix it, too bad they cant fix the main story or the ugly characters.
The character models are lifeless, slapping 8k HD textures on them isn’t going to make them look any better.
Besides, “HD texture mods” for today’s games are quite pointless, since the base textures of most games already have ridiculous amounts of detail.
All the must have mods are on basedmods. eth. link, where you get the mod that removes pronouns and turns vlad white.
