STALKER 2 Update 1.5 Released, Packs Over 300 Fixes, Adds Modding Support, Full Patch Notes


GSC GameWorld has released Title Update 1.5 for STALKER 2 and shared its full patch notes. This update packs over 300 fixes, tweaks, and improvements. So, let’s take a closer look at it.

Patch 1.5 makes big improvements to the A-Life system in the game. Now, all characters in the Zone live their lives even when you can’t see them. They move around, do tasks, and survive on their own until something stops them. You might run into the same stalkers later in the game, and you’ll see more characters relaxing or talking in different places. This makes the world feel more real and alive.

Characters will no longer suddenly appear right in front of you. For example, if you clear out a group of mutants, they won’t come back right away. The game now makes sure new characters show up far away from the player, not just at the edge of what you can see. The area where characters can be seen was also made a little bigger. Now, when new characters show up, they will have the right animations and weapons ready. This makes everything look smoother and more real.

All in all, THIS is what A-Life should have been when the game launched. It may have taken the devs around seven months, but they have finally delivered a proper A-Life system. Or at least that’s what the patch notes indicate.

Update 1.5 also brings some cool new features. Now, you can loot mutant parts, which was only possible before with a mod. It’s nice to see this added to the game officially. The update also adds the Water Electric Tornado anomaly, plus a few new weapons. Also, your stash window is now bigger, making it easier to manage your items.

GSC GameWorld claims that it has also made some performance improvements. For example, it fixes big FPS drops that happened when you looked closely at objects or talked to NPCs. It also solves a problem where the game slowed down if many NPCs tried to open doors at the same time. The game now runs more smoothly in places where there are lots of conversations waiting to happen. Lastly, it makes some objects and stashes easier for the computer to handle, helping the game run faster.

The devs have also added a number of balance tweaks. Plus, you will find a lot of quest fixes. In total, Patch 1.5 packs over 300 fixes, tweaks and changes. You can find all of them at the end of the article.

Like I said, Update 1.5 adds official modding support. Modders can now use the Zone Kit to change and build new stuff in the game. You can update existing content or make brand-new things like animations, weapons, and game features. Mods can be found on Steam Workshop and Mod.io. The Zone Kit is available on the Epic Games Store (EGS), and you can download it there.

Balance 

  • Fixed generic issue where Quest NPC could have overpowered items in inventory.
  • Fixed an issue where price for a common artifact was higher than repeatable quest reward for it.
  • Implemented new artifact effect: Durability, that will increase durability of equipped gear.
  • Added new handgun Kora to the game.
  • Added reload renewal feature for all of the weapons.
  • Reworked and replaced 7.62 ammo across the map.
  • Fixed an issue with a unique gun Trophy that had a useless upgrade of the stock.
  • Increased armor penetration for Grom S15 weapon, increased armor penetration and damage modifiers for AS Lavina weapon.

Reworked ammo for machine guns and sniper rifles:

  • – replaced 762×39 MM ammo with 762×54 MM ammo;
  • – Sniper rifles (SVDM-2, SVU-MK S-3 and M701 Super) now don’t use light steel core ammo, without weapon upgrade — only super-sonic and armor piercing ammo;
  • – PKP machine guns, Mark I EMR and Three-Line Rifle can use light steel core ammo by default;
  • – supersonic ammo now deals way less damage to weapon durability, making it more useful.
    Added Three-Line Rifle weapon.
    Artifacts’ effects rebalance:
  • – Horn: decreased chemical and radio protection;
  • – Rosin: replaced “weight: weak” effect with “endurance: weak”;
  • – Sapphire: removed increased durability effect;
  • – Shell: replaced “radiation: weak” effect with “endurance: weak”.

Audio

  • Adjusted Brick’s voice-over line to ensure contextual accuracy.
