Marvel Spider-Man 2 Black Cat

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Patch 1.205.0.0 Released & Detailed

After two hotfixes, Nixxes released the first proper patch for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. So, let’s see what this update is all about.

Patch 1.205.0.0 packs various crash fixes based on player feedback and data from Nixxes’ crash reporting system. As such, the game should be even more stable now.

Moreover, this update reduces the noise in character hair when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction. This was a big issue when the game launched. So, thanks to this fix, you may be able to finally use DLSS RR.

It’s also worth noting that this patch fixes a bug related to ray-traced reflections that could cause pixelation artifacts along water edges. Plus, enemies webbed to surfaces no longer have a black background when using ray-traced shadows and ray-traced ambient occlusion.

For those wondering, this patch does not seem to bring any performance optimization improvements. So, expect the game to run similar to its previous version. As I wrote in my PC Performance Analysis, the game could benefit from some optimization tweaks. So, here is hoping that Nixxes will keep working on it.

It’s also worth noting that there is still no support for Multi-Frame Gen. Since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 can be CPU-heavy in some scenes, it could benefit from MFG. So, here is hoping that Nixxes will work with NVIDIA to add support for it.

Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
