Square Enix has released Title Update 1.003 for the PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This patch is 18GB in size, so let’s take a look at its full patch notes.
Patch 1.003 fixes an issue where the application sometimes crashed while playing the game on a PC using certain AMD Radeon products. The devs did not go into more details about the AMD GPUs, so we don’t really know what models were affected by it.
Moreover, this update reduces the package size when downloading on Steam Deck. It also improves overall game stability. And that’s it. Square Enix also claimed that there are several bug fixes, though it did not share them. So, we don’t know what additional bugs this update resolves.
In short, this is a small update and nothing more. It does not bring any major tweaks or improvements. It also does not add support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen. It does not remove the 120FPS cap, and it does not introduce any FOV settings. Thankfully, though, there is a mod that fixes these two things.
Speaking of FF7 Rebirth, I suggest FF7RebirthFix. This mod lets you adjust the gameplay FOV, unlocks the framerate, and adds support for ultrawide or narrower displays. Its latest version also improves shadow cascades. Thus, you won’t see shadows constantly changing right in front of view.
Then we have this amazing first-person mod. This is another must-have mod for FF7 Rebirth. This mod lets you explore the world of the game in first-person mode. During fights, it switches back to a third-person viewpoint. As such, it feels like an official first-person exploration mode. It’s really cool, so be sure to download it from here.
Finally, you can download this 4K Texture Pack for it. This mod will overhaul over 14000 environmental textures. By default, the game has A LOT of low-res textures. Thankfully, this mod fixes numerous of them. So, make sure to install it.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
