Dragon’s Dogma 2 April 9th Patch Released & Fully Detailed

Capcom has just released a new update for its latest action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2. According to the release notes, the April 9th Patch fixes some issues that prevented progression in some quests.

Moreover, this update fixes some terrain that caused characters to get stuck. As such, your characters will no longer get stuck in the environments. Plus, this patch packs some other miscellaneous bug fixes. And that’s it.

In short, this isn’t the next big update you’ve been waiting for. So yeah, don’t expect any major performance improvements from it.

From what we know, Capcom is still working on improving the game’s CPU performance on PC. As we’ve reported, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is very CPU-bound on the PC, especially in towns.

Now the good news here is that since its previous update, owners of high-end CPUs can enjoy the game with 60fps. And although DD2 does not officially support DLSS 3 Frame Generation yet, you can use this mod to force it. By using the DLSS 3 Mod, we were able to get a smooth gaming experience on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

Speaking of Dragon’s Dogma 2, we also recommend checking out these mods for it. For instance, you can get a mod that improves its mouse camera movement. Another mod adds a cool lock-on combat mechanic. Then we have the Save Manager Mod which is a must-have mod. This mod allows you to start a new game, create multiple characters, and have an unlimited number of save files for each character. Let’s also not forget this mod that improves the quality of Ray Tracing, and reduces its smearing side effects. Finally, you can get some 4K Texture Packs from here and here.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
