Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.61 released, is 11GB in size, full patch notes

CD Projekt RED has released a brand new update for Cyberpunk 2077. Update 1.61 is 11GB in size, adds support for AMD’s FSR 2.1 on PC, and below you can find its full patch notes.

Going into more details, Patch 1.61 packs numerous fixes for quests, UI, and visuals. It also has a number of gameplay tweaks and fixes. However, this patch does not add support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 tech, or for the new Ray Tracing Overdrive settings.

Since the game now officially supports AMD FSR 2.1, PC gamers will no longer need the FSR 2.0 Mod.

As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

    1. Soon nearly every PC game will support it because MS added FSR 2.2 to latest DirectX GDK (game development kit). It was already used in today update for Forza Horizon 5

      1. Lmao, I’ve been wondering where he’s been all this time. And here he just popped up. But like usual, you show up to demolish him. Thanks ?

    1. Agreed. The smaller, more detailed game always wins. Even Mankind Divided was a better “cyberpunk” experience. That’s the one thing that really irks me about Cyberpunk 2077, it’s lack of tangible detail. Everything in the world seems to be beautiful set dressing until you start to try and interact with it.

      1. Cyberpunk is an empty game, like 99% of modern games.
And I’m talking about both gameplay and “soul”.
They can add as much “content” as they want, it’ll still feel like an empty game.

I think I’m not going to leave the 90s/2000s anytime soon.

        1. Cyberpunk have a huge problem. It has ZERO challenge. The boss fights which are non existent are a joke. The only thing that game has going for it is it’s graphics fidelity.

      2. There’s nothing more detailed in Human Revolution than in CB77.

Not sure what you find so interactible in HR but not in CB77.

        1. “CB77” fails to do what the main draw of the game was supposed to be. An immersive, interactive metropolis, but it’s all set dressing. It falls apart when you have NPCs that do the exact same animation at the same time when fleeing or when the police teleporting to your location, or when traffic fades out and becomes completely fake after a short distance. Cyberpunk is a beautiful game but it is so painfully shallow because of it’s lack of detail in it’s city systems. One could argue GTA4 is a better city simulation that CB77. It suffers from the same thing Skyrim has but worse.

DXHR/MD are differently designed games with smaller, more detailed worlds that have small bits of narrative sprinkled round as you explore different routes. It’s immersive sim vs open world action game. Cyberpunk is more akin to a Far Cry than it is to a GTA.

Explain to me what’s so detailed in Cyberpunk. I haven’t played the game since I finished it in Dec 2020 but from what I’ve seen, the fundamentals of the game will always stand. No updates will change that.

          1. I love Mankind Divided to bits, but again, I can’t see all that “extra stuff” the last 2 DE games do that CB77 does not.

I’m not disagreeing on simulation vs GTA IV.

      3. this. I bring up the Trauma scene from the start of the game to point this out. This whole crazy incident happens in broad light at the middle of a street. But when you look at the surrounding buildings and the road on the street level, there is nobody else there. Not a single NPC was put in a balcony or a window or walking on the street, looking on our floor to see what the whole fuss is about. nothing, there were only the buildings.

as a result of this, the whole outside world looks and feels so lifeless and empty. Remember those 70s and 80s scifi movies, where matte paintings were used on the background to provide the impression of a bigger world? but you could tell that they were fake. same with this game. Those buildings, that entire street outside, looked nothing more than a matte painting, a wallpaper, a set dressing as you put it.

  1. Why has this game become so popular all of a sudden? What do people see in it? I reminds me of Skyrim but worse. And don’t tell me it’s because of Edgerunners because I watched and enjoyed that but it didn’t give me the slightest urge to play the game again.

    1. People are sheep. They hear the anime is a huge hit. The jump on the wagon and go play the game. Plus every one has forgotten the lies that were told. It’s the sad state of the industry. The companies will still make their money and repeat the same crap of lies and fix it later mentality

    2. I doubt it’s really popular.
I don’t even trust Steam statistics anymore.
Most people I know who tried this game dropped it very quickly.
Give it a few years and people will admit it sucked.

I’ve seen it all my life. First, people are being manipulated by the aggressive marketing, and they fall for it like brainless sheep, and they’re too ashamed to admit it sucks, after they spent their money… Let’s not even mention the thousands of paid reviews.
Years later, the truth eventually comes out.

The opposite is also true, though. We’ve seen unpopular games become extremely appreciated years later.

  2. They can’t even add a Fuqing designated dodge button on PC. Everytime this fuqfest updates I have to remod a simple feature. They did the same damn thing with Witcher 3. Had to use my nose software to trigger signs on their designated button press. I’ve lost respect for this company. They are stubborn As Fuq. They have no plans on adding quality of life changes that are suppose to be there from the beginning. Fuq CDPR. I can no longer defend this company.

But we got more machine learning right?.. what a Fuqing joke, get Fuq’d!

      1. Dude they have become dirt. This game was released late 2020 and after 2 years they are still updating the game acting as if they are doing what’s right, just and doing us a favor. Instead of calling out this behavior, they are getting praised all over the internet as some kinda pioneer. I was their biggest fan but no more man. Enough is enough.

And thanks for the laugh by the way. You remind me of an old saying, “if you ain’t laughing, you’re crying”.

        1. I believe CDPR latest PR stunt praise is a secret cry but in reality, CDPR is looking for a buyer and it looks like it would be SGG!

          1. Never thought about them selling. The problem I have is how this will all affect GOG. Because that is my platform of choice for buying games, I despise DRM. My Gog library have now outclass my steam library by the hundreds. Just what I wanted most of the games I winged on steam are now on GOG. Would be a shame to see them go belly up, would be the end of gaming for me.

    1. I heard CDPR is being funded by a woke company. Everything is going backwards now, they even stated their new mission for their company: to create a working environment full of diversity (not skills/ experience).

      1. These claims always have to be taken with a grain of salt, as companies love to rainbow-wash their image and claim to be nurturing environments, but still, it is nice that they are making an effort at changing their much-derided work environment for the better.

The fact that it triggers you that someone supports sexual or other minorities at a workplace says much more about you than CDPR. Poland is in the middle of a culture war, in many ways what happened there is reminiscent of the current US political climate, it just started sooner. It makes sense that as an international and fairly diverse company, CDPR is not choosing to adopt the stance of the populist and ultraconservative PiS government and its followers. It is not just a good PR decision, but also the right choice on a human level.

But hey, stay angry and salty at the world!

      1. Lord Jesus, I’ve never heard of this “ESG” till now. WTF is wrong with that dude?.. WTF is he on about?.. Where are the games?.. WTF did I just watch?.. Damn it man, this is why we can’t have nice things.

        1. Yeah man, you should look into it. The main driving force behind ESG is blackrock. The amount of assets under their management is worth over ten TRILLION dollars, so of course many corporations want a piece of that pie and are embracing their globalist perversions. If you look into the early life sections of the founder and the CEO, you’ll find your answer as to why they’re doing this.

          1. Oh God I looked into it. Very clear to me that this is something straight out of Satans think tank. This is one of the weirdest things under ever heard of. Every year they create something new and nonsensical.

Here is the problem & feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. We must be able to talk about these things respectfully without getting offended. Because there are certain intricacies that no one wants to talk about because “they can’t be proven”. Here goes my theory:.. This is an all white company, which is fine because it’s on God damn Poland. But because of that they are guilty AF! Paranoid, because in today’s world it doesn’t “look right”. So what do they do? They come up with all this nonsense to make themselves look virtuous. While still remaining a whites only club and doing nothing to change their little club. But everyone is so stupid that they buy into the PR. Everyone in the company is white as hell and they are just doing damage control, even though they don’t intend on changing it. While in the process everyone on the outside that doesn’t agree with their choices start spewing more hate towards minorites as if we run these God Damn companies. That’s the part that pisses me off the most. I don’t give a damn if you want to have a company full of all whites, black, browns or yellows just do your God Damn job.

          2. I think you’re kind of right. The actual answer is probably a lot more complicated though. While Poland does seem based on the surface, I have read that a portion of the population is as libtarded as the west, so it’s possible that a fair amount of people in charge at CDPR do buy into that globohomo bullcrap. There’s also wanting to please the investors, most of who I am sure are wanting CDPR to adopt these policies for (((reasons))). Considering how CDPR’s stock tanked, I’m sure money also had something to do with their decision to embrace ESG. Sure some of the higher-ups at CRPR could be white nationalists (and they should be since they are in Poland as you said), but right now the company image is a pozzed one. They don’t really need to do much to keep racial diversity to a minimum as Polish is not exactly an easy language to learn and relocating to another country (especially if it’s in a different continent) is not always an easy task. However, if somehow there does happen to be an influx of non-whites into Poland, I think CDPR will likely welcome them with open arms.

    1. Sad to see. GOG’s been on life support for some time now so in utter desperation following the calamity that was Cyberpunk 2077 it appears as though CD Projekt has turned to chasing ESG money to keep GOG afloat.

  3. I just did a quick test, and noticed that DLSS no longer works if you have Anti-Aliasing disabled, and FSR 2 doesn’t work either. After deleting the INI file that I had disabled it with, and restarting the game, I was able to test both DLSS and FSR 2. Below is my comparison of each when set to “Quality” (I maxed out the sharpness slider for each since they were both blurrier than I was OK with).

I noticed that DLSS looked cleaner. In low-motion scenes FSR 2 had noticeable motion blur whereas DLSS didn’t, however DLSS had noticeable ghosting whereas FSR 2 didn’t. DLSS was better at reconstructing lights without flickering, however FSR 2 was better at reconstructing people (especially heads and faces) at medium distance and better at reconstructing buildings/roads/cars/etc at a distance.

  4. CDPR was always pervy tbh, in TW3 you have at least one trannystein character in one of the love interests and such, witchcraft/kabbalism, overall tribester story thwarting apocalypse via magick etc. Obvious subliminal against one church using paid for by the tribe, false history references etc It’s a tribe company for sure.

Agree on CP77 first playthrough in 20 was not too impressed but coming back after patches and lots of mods makes it much better. Bladerunner, a trans/transhumanis story, easter egg, hidden devil ending, little hidden stuff etc. Of course CP77 is showing marxist trannystein agenda, trash bags evil average people destroying programming, freedom of gun ownership means bodies all over open gunfights like ok corral, somehow windmills/solar panels power everything, transhumanism/trannyism technoworship/saviorism, marxist megacorpo monopolies synthesis which is pretty much what we have and other garbage. 77 double sin 70×7, 11-tribester chosen elite, twin towers, number of sin-st augustine. one more than 10 commands. 22-marxists? androgyne number?, 33 brickmasons scottish, 44 kill code magnum serial killer psyop, 55 war pentagram red star of rempham, 66 satanism clowns, lavey etc, 88 forever 3333 cut in half, 99- a form of 66-as above so below form baphomet. 96-as above so below, 69. 13 brickmasons york rite, barmitzvah, coven. 8 mutilation ceremony 33 cut in half and such. 6-6-44, 11-22-63 3 sixes, 10-17-17 rus takeover 11 on the old rus calendar, 7-22-11 breivik patsy, 3-11 covid/fukishima etc, 9-11 through history, 10-13, april 30, may 1. 1933, 11-11 vets day etc, 66, 99, 96, etc etc 4-20 hitler bday earth day, others on the occult calendar too.

  5. I may need your help. I tried many ways but couldn’t solve it, but after reading your article, I think you have a way to help me. I’m looking forward for your reply. Thanks.
