Ubisoft has just released Title Update 1.0.3 for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, which is 9.69GB in size on PC, and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new patch brings to the table.

Patch 1.0.3 fixes the stuttering issues that could occur on PC. Right now, I’m downloading the update so I’ll be sure to share some impressions once it’s complete. Plus, the update fixes a crash that could occur during the prologue.

Sadly, I don’t see any major performance tweaks or optimizations. So, no. Don’t expect the game to run better with this patch. From what I can see, this is a small update and not a major one. Still, the fact that it aims to resolve some of the PC stutters is a step towards the right direction.

Update 1.0.3 will deactivate the multi-sell features in shops due to unexpected issues. Moreover, it fixes an issue where the option to call the allies was missing. It will also address an issue with audio loss.

On a related note, the game suffers from major visual artifacts with DLSS 4 Transformer Model. In foggy areas, there are major ghosting issues. Below you can find a video that showcases these visual issues. For what it’s worth, I’ve already informed NVIDIA about it. So, hopefully, we’ll get a fix via a new driver soon. Until then, I suggest using the DLSS 4 CNN Model. It might not be as sharp as the Transformer Model, but at least you won’t get the annoying ghosting issues.
