Now. Invitations to participate in the beta test are now being delivered to the chosen heroes. As with beta tests for other Blizzard Entertainment games, the testing process for Diablo III will occur in phases. Crytek announced today the winners of its first CryDev’s official competition and we have some screenshots of these winning maps. Coming in at number 3 is The Vulture with his Cry-Museum, a map that is basically a room of small cabinets with Crysis assets scaled down and made into small scenes. At number 2 is Duruk with his Journey to the sun, a map that is inspired by Alien (first movie when the ship goes into alert), Deadspace, Solaris & Sunshine. Ubisoft has just released a new Q&A video, in which Assassin’s Creed: Revelations’ lead scriptwriter, Darby McDevitt, reveals the relationship between Altair and Ezio. Altair and Ezio are not in the same exact plotline and are not related directly but they come from different bloodlines. Think of it as Ezio coming from Desmond’s father side while Altair coming from Desmond’s mother side. Assassin’s Creed: Revelation is slated for a November release on X360, PS3 and hopefully PC – that is if it doesn’t get delayed at the last minute. We’ve seen various Mirror’s Edge adaptations but nothing can come close to the production values of Insane Office Escape. The film is directed and edited by Ilya Naishuller and shot by Sergei Valyaev and Ilya Naishuller. As the title suggests, it showcases an escape attempt from an office and looks quite phenomenal. We’d like to see more parkour moves but still, this is clearly the way a Mirror’s Edge movie should actually be. Enjoy the video after the jump. Surprise surprise. The highly anticipated bat game is following the example of some other multiplatform games and its PC version will be delayed. Warner Bros and and Rocksteady Studios are releasing the PC version of Batman: Arkham City in November. Following the previous announcement about BF3’s beta release date, Electronic Arts has also revealed the official PC requirements of their highly anticipated FPS game. As we can see, gamers will need at least a dual-core CPU and Windows Vista.
