Being a huge fan of pretty much every JANE’s game, I was really looking forward to Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters. Could this be the comeback of our favorite flight sim games? Apparently not as the game is more similar to Ace Combat than to the older JANE’s sims. To be honest, it was to be expected, especially after hearing that the game would actually be a multi-platform title. And although I don’t have any problems with arcade flight games, Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters doesn’t provide anything to justify its purchase. It’s funny but I’m glad that both Batman: Arkham City and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations got delayed. In fact, I really wish that both Arkham City and Serious Sam 3 would be delayed until December as November was full of new releases. But anyway, strategy fans will be pleased to hear that Ubisoft’s strategy game, Anno 2070 has just been released on Steam. Continue reading Anno 2070 is now available on Steam→

Epic Games announced today an agreement with Square Enix. Epic Games will be granting Square Enix a license to develop multiple games with Epic’s award-winning Unreal Engine 3 technology. Epic Games Japan, which supports the company’s licensees locally, worked directly with Square Enix on the new license. And here comes the big question; what happened to the next-generation engine that Square Enix was working on? And why won’t the giant Japanese company use the in-house engine for their games? Figures. Continue reading Square Enix Licenses Unreal Engine 3 For Multiple Games→
Great news for Skyrim fans, as the first Texture Pack for Bethesda’s RPG has just been released. According to the modder, almost all textures have been enhanced and are 4X the size of the original ones. As with most Texture Packs, some might like it while others might not. To be honest though, it seems that bythemark (thanks for the correction MOFISTO) has tweaked the original textures instead of replacing them with some brand, new HD ones. The end result is great in our own opinion and you can find the download link, as well as some comparison shots, after the jump.
