Great news for Bethesda and Zenimax as the PC version of Skyrim has outsold every other PC game and is the fastest-selling game in Steam’s history. According to Bethesda’s and Valve’s reports, Skyrim has outsold every other PC game by a 3:1 ratio. As a result of that, the game is still at the top of Steam’s stats and is definitely great to see Bethesda and Zenimax acknowledging the PC fan-base. Well, at least they are not complaining about piracy – like pretty much everyone else – which is good in our books. Imagine now what will happen when the Creation Kit get’s released which will take the Skyrim experience to a whole new level.
Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development at Valve Corporation said:
“Skyrim is the fastest selling title in Steam’s history. Bethesda’s commitment to and understanding of the PC as a gaming platform shows in the great review scores, spectacular launch, and continued high player numbers that Skyrim has received. We are delighted that Bethesda chose to use Steamworks to support Skyrim both at retail and digitally.”
In other news, Skyrim Online Mod has just been released. If you hadn’t already downloaded it, go ahead and give it a try!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved - and still does - the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
