Unknown Worlds has released a new trailer for Natural Selection 2, in which the Onos, marine jetpacks and new “mineshaft” map are shown for the first time. Natural Selection 2 is a standalone immersive, online FPS that pits aliens against humans in a strategic and action-packed struggle for survival. Two teams of up to 16 players face off with unique abilities in dynamic, evolving environments that change as you play. Bad news for those that were looking forward to THQ’s and 4A Games’ upcoming FPS, Metro: Last Light, as the game has been delayed to Q1 2013. According to the publisher, this delay will give them time to “enhance and polish the gameplay of this hidden gem” as well as secure a better launch window. Oh, and the game’s marketing budget has been doubled but who cares, right? This doesn’t concern gamers. So, no Metro: Last Light for you this year. Bummer. Focus Home Interactive has released some brand new screenshots from their upcoming strategy game, Wargame: European Escalation. Wargame’s powerful engine, the IRISZOOM, animates all these units on incredibly huge maps as big as 60 square miles, which display over 100 million scenery objects. Wargame: European Escalation promises to let players control over 360 different units and vehicles faithfully modeled after actual units from 1975 to 1985 and is slated for release later this month. Perfect World Entertainment has released a new trailer for one of the new maps that is available on their free-to-play FPS game, Blacklight: Retribution. Blacklight Retribution promises to set the new standard for free-to-play shooters, by fully leveraging Unreal 3 technology and implementing DirectX 11 to give gamers cutting-edge graphics that will blow away expectations as well as minds.
