Earlier today, EA released an indie bundle on Steam that features Deathspank, Gatling Gears, Warp, Shank 1 and Shank 2. It was a surprise seeing EA releasing an indie bundle what came afterwards caught us off guard. Markus ‘Notch’ Persson was really annoyed by EA’s actions and said some harsh words against them. There is no doubt that Skyrim looks great. And here we are today with some new drooling images, as modders ‘gionight’ and ‘Unr3al2004’ have released some screenshots from their Skyrim custom female characters. These female models look great and showcase what can be achieved with Skyrim’s in-game toolset. NeoAxis have released a new video that showcases the changes that have been made to their in-house game engine, the NeoAxis Engine. NeoAxis Engine 1.2 – that is currently available for download from here – supports HDR, Depth of Field and God Rays. NeoAxis Engine looks interesting, though it can’t compete with the likes of Unreal Engine 3 and CryEngine 3. Still, this is a great engine for indie devs and sports better and more colorful visuals than most multi-platform titles. Enjoy! Rockstar announced today that the Max Payne 3 Official Soundtrack will be available digitally on May 23rd. Composed and recorded by LA-based band HEALTH, the soundtrack features the song “TEARS” which is due for release as a single on iTunes on May 15th, coinciding with the game’s US console launch. Piranha Games have released some new screenshots for their upcoming free-to-play mecha game, MechWarrior Online. These new shots show off the game’s Catapult unit, in all of its CryEngine 3 glory. MechWarrior Online lets players command at will as they can go head-to-head online alone or with friends in high-octane Conquest and VS modes. MechWarrior Online promises to deliver a rich online experience, rewarding everything a player does with experience points, C-Bills, unlocks, and recognition. Enjoy! Pat Goodwin – from Equilitree – directed a short non-commercial film for Half-Life 3. This video lasts around 2 minutes and has a narration about the Resistance and Gordon Freeman’s history. It’s pretty basic, but at the same time it’s easy to the eyes and kind of cool. It doesn’t have those funky special effects of all other fan-made Half-Life films but then again, that’s not a bad thing as its artistic direction is completely different. Enjoy! The PC version of Skullgirls was announced yesterday and the team behind it has decided to share some new information about it. So, good news PC gamers as the game won’t be using GFWL. That’s really exciting, right? Well, not as excited as what you are about to read; Autumn Games plans to enable cross-play between the PS3 and the PC versions in the near future. Oh yeah, you read that right. The developers are looking into enabling cross-platform functionality via a future patch and that’s one of the reasons why the PC version won’t be using GFWL. Rebellion and 505 Games released the launch trailer of their sniper game, Sniper Elite V2. Sniper Elite V2 is a third person tactical shooter set in the dying days of World War Two and is a next-generation reboot of 2005’s acclaimed original, Sniper Elite. The game weaves an explosive story of an undercover American OSS agent, stalking enemy prey across key historical locations from the Battle of Berlin in a mission to unravel the mysteries and dangers of the German V-2 rocket programme. A while ago, we informed you about some classic Mega-Drive games that appeared on Steam’s registry. As we predicted back then, those games were likely to be part of a new Classic Genesis Pack and it appears we were right, as SEGA has released the fifth part of their Genesis Classics Pack.
