Yesterday, we shared the first set of screenshots from Epic’ Unreal Engine 4. Well, time for some brand new shots as Wired has unveiled seven new shots from their gigantic feature. Unreal Engine 4 looks lovely but we have to admit that we were not shocked as much as when Epic showcased Unreal Engine 3, back in the days. Or when we saw the Samaritan Tech Demo. To put it simple; although the screenshots are not as impressive as the Samaritan Tech Demo, they look beautiful and up-to-date with what other modern/future game engines can do. Team RocketJump has just uploaded to YouTube the first episode of their online webseries, Video Game High School. Now I’m pretty sure that most of you will be wondering who the hell is RocketJump, right? Well, RocketJump is a team of passionate people who started a Kickstarter in order to fund this webseries and YouTube’s infamous Freddie ‘freddiew’ Wong is a part of this talented team. Stainless Games has revealed some brand new details about their upcoming Carmageddon game. According to the company, Carmageddon: Reincarnation will support LAN which will be available while you are offline too. YouTube’s particularly cynical online broadcaster ‘Totalbiscuit’ has visited Sony Online Entertainment studio in San Diego and captured some new footage from the alpha version of Planetside 2. Instead of showcasing fights in bright days though, Totalbiscuit focused on night-fights as those scenarios show off the new lighting system that Planetside 2’s engine supports. Although the game is still in alpha version, it looks lovely and we can’t wait to see a more polished version of it. Enjoy! THQ has released the second part of Death story’s trailer for Darksiders II. Darksiders II’s epic journey propels DEATH through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother WAR, the horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders. Great news for graphics whores as Epic Games has revealed the first set of screenshots from the next version of their acclaimed engine, the Unreal Engine. These Unreal Engine 4 shots showcase a game (or a tech demo) that looks similar to Skyrim. We do know that Skyrim was a big success to the PC and Epic Games have revealed during GDC2012 that they’re developing a PC exclusive title. Naturally, most of us expected this title to be a showcase title for Unreal Engine 4, so could these screenshots actually be from the PC exclusive title that Epic has in store for us? One can only guess but if that’s the case, we can expect an RPG game from the studio that brought us the Unreal and the Gears of War series. But then again, the studio stated that the PC exclusive title would be a shooter and this is definitely not a shooter. So, a PC exclusive title or an RPG for next-generation platforms?
