GTA fans, we’ve got some good and some bad news for you today. The good news first; Grand Theft Auto V will come out next year, in Spring 2013, as this release window was hinted by some new artworks that got leaked. The bad news; PC icon was not included in this artwork, suggesting the usual ‘Rockstar delay’ between the console and the PC versions. Aventurine has released a new set of screenshots and a new trailer for its upcoming MMORPG, Darkfall: Unholy Wars. According to its press release, the video showcases the Deadeye school from the Skirmisher role, a class that is extremely skilled with the bow, and can utilize it to damage single targets or even small groups. Activision has released a new, live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This trailer is directed by Guy Ritchie and showcases the weapons and gadgets that will be featured in Treyarch’s FPS title. Ironically, this whole ‘surprise’ thing reminded us of Doakes’ classic line from TV-show Dexter, therefore we decided to also include it below. The latest Top 10 PC charts have been revealed and as we can see, Medal of Honor: Warfighter and XCOM: Enemy Unknown are dominating Steam’s digital and UK’s retail PC charts. What’s really interesting here is that Euro Truck Simulator 2 has entered the UK charts and is spotted in the second place. Guess Farming Simulator 2013 will hit the first place next week, right? Dishonored and Doom 3: BFG Edition have lost three places, whereas XCOM: Enemy Unknown has fallen five places. Refract Studios has unveiled the first gameplay footage from pre-alpha build of Distance, the spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush. The game takes the intense action of arcade racing and fuses it with the exploration of an atmospheric world, as players control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly to survive in a chaotic and twisted city. Infinite Game Publishing and Piranha Games announced that MechWarrior Online is set for Open Beta today, October 29th. MechWarrior Online, one of 2012’s most anticipated titles, has been lauded by fans and the games media as the return of true mech combat. Halloween is fast approaching and what better way to get into the spirit than by playing a horror game. Developed by Shiver Games, Lucius is a unique third person hybrid of action and horror-adventure gameplay. This game has you starring as a six year old boy who must orchestrate the death of his household members in clever ways due to his father Lucifer’s (Yep, that’s the devil.) demand. But that’s not all; as you must make sure that your “incidents” appear as accidents to avoid suspicion. If I was to compare it to a movie, it would most definitely be to ‘The Omen’ as the setting and story is pretty similar aside from the fact that in this game the child himself kills rather than a supernatural force. So there will be times when the narrative feels unoriginal, but nonetheless is nicely presented with great cinematics and some good voice work, save for a few annoying ones like those for the Latina maids.
