Crytek has unveiled some new screenshots and artworks for Crysis 3. Powered by Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE, Crysis 3 advances the state of the art with unparalleled visuals and dynamic shooter gameplay, and these new images showcase the game’s graphics. Players take on the role of ‘Prophet’ as he returns to New York only to discover that the city has been encased in a Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. THQ has released a new, live-action, trailer for Metro: Last Light. Following the Preacher and the Model, this new trailer focuses on a Commander. Once, this man commanded the respect of a regiment but now, the survivors call him a dog. After all, they only remember him as the man who shut the doors too soon – the man who condemned their wives, husbands, children, to a painful death. Today, Ubisoft and New Regency announced that they are partnering on the forthcoming Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell film. Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the film and television division of Ubisoft, will develop the Splinter Cell movie in close collaboration with New Regency. Ubisoft also recently announced it attached award-winning actor Tom Hardy and up-and-coming screenwriter Eric Warren Singer (“The International”) to the film. Now this is how you develop a PC version of a multi-platform title. Far Cry 3 PC is the definition of what developers can achieve when they’re taking advantage of the PC. Not only does the game look fabulous, it also scales incredibly on four CPU cores, and showcases the huge difference between a game that is optimized for dual-cores and one that is optimized for quad-cores. It’s ironic – given the fact that this is a Ubisoft title – but Far Cry 3 is the most optimized PC game of 2012 and you can read below the reasons why we consider it this good. Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops II has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide retail sales, according to Chart-Track retail customer sell-through information and internal company estimates. The game achieved this milestone in just 15 days after its launch on 13th November, 2012. Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached $1 billion in retail sales in 16 days.
