UK’s Retail and Steam’s Digital Top 10 PC Charts have been revealed and as we can, both The Sims 3: Showtime and Skyrim have reclaimed their thrones. In the retail land, EA’s sims game has managed to top Mass Effect 3 – that is now at the third place – and is followed by SEGA’s soccer manager, Football Manager 2012. Skyrim has gained one place this week, whereas both Star Wars: The Old Republic and Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Fall of the Samurai have lost two places each. And good news for Activision as Modern Warfare 3 has managed to re-enter the charts and is at the tenth place. Wizards of the Coast today announced the Magic: The Gathering 2013 product line-up featuring Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 video game for iPad, Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam and PlayStation Network platforms and the Magic: The Gathering 2013 Core Set for the paper trading card game (TCG). Truth be told, we were a bit worried about Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. You see, Bohemia is a talented team there is no doubt about that. However, their engine was seriously bugged – back in the days of ArmA 2 and Take on Helicopters – and suffered from a lot of performance issues. Well, good news guys as the remake of Carrier Command uses a different engine that runs amazingly well. This newly, in-house engine, is GPU bound and did not stress our CPU even when there were firefights on-screen. Way to go Bohemia. BioWare and Electronic Arts have released a new update for Mass Effect 3. This patch fixes – among other things – the face import issue that some gamers have experienced. In addition, the update fixes several crashes, an issue when an unresponsive game state could occur during transition after the Conduit level and an issue when saves from different accounts on the same computer could get locked. Nvidia have released a new beta version of their universal ForceWare drivers. ForceWare 301.24 Beta come with the implementation of FXAA and Adaptive Vsync, the addition of FXAA support, and with a performance boost that is up to 23% in several top PC games. In celebration of one million units sold throughout Latin America, Konami Digital Entertainment has announced it’s re-releasing its hit game, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 on April 10th at lower prices for a number of formats. The game, originally released in September 2011, has been praised for its realism and key advances, and its low price will make it a key signing for soccer fans. The lower price gives new fans the opportunity to pick up the controller and play against friends in what is regarded as the most authentic soccer game in the market.
