New Screenshots Showcase Project CARS In All Its ‘Wet’ Glory

Project Cars Ford Focus RS v1
Slightly Mad Studios has released a new set of community screenshots for its gorgeous-looking racer, Project CARS. Our guess is that Slightly Mad Studios has added a new raindrops effects, otherwise we cannot explain why most member decided to capture the following images. Naturally, all shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode with no post-processing or filters that aren’t available during the actual gameplay. And as you may have guessed, most of those members are using FXAA and SweetFX injectors to improve this racer’s visuals. Enjoy! Watch Dogs Engine Won’t Be Plagued By AnvilNext’s Engine Performance Issues

Watch Dogs v3
A couple of days ago, we informed you about the new engine that will be powering Watch Dogs, the Disrupt engine. Naturally, what came to our mind was that the Disrupt engine would be an evolution of the AnvilNext engine, the engine used in Assassin’s Creed III. Therefore, we decided to ask Sebastien Viard, Technical Director on Watch Dogs, about it and whether this engine would be plagued by the same performance issues we’ve encountered in Assassin’s Creed III. Ubisoft’s CEO Confirms That PC Is The Lead Platform For Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs
Well, we all saw that coming, right? Still, it’s good to have an official confirmation about the lead platform of Watch Dogs. In an interview with InsideGamer, Ubisoft’s CEO confirmed that the PC is the lead platform for Watch Dogs and all other platforms will be getting a port from it. Yeap, this is the exact opposite of what is currently happening, so this is at least good news for all PC gamers. Why you ask? From 1992 To 2012: Graphic evolution of First Person Shooters

Doom 2
YouTube’s member ‘drloser333’ has created a cool video that showcases the graphical evolution of First Person Shooters from 1992 to 2012. This video shows off the original versions of the games that are featured – without any mods applied to them – rendered in actual resolutions of the period. Ironically, Unreal is nowhere to be found in this video and that’s a real shame as back in the days, Unreal looked better than anything available. That’s a big foul in our opinion, though we should note that drloser333 picked only one game from almost each year. But anyway, it’s a pretty good video and the montage is awesome. Enjoy!
