Dead Island: Riptide Gets An In-Game Trailer

Deep Silver has released a new, in-game, trailer for Techland’s upcoming zombie game, Dead Island: Riptide. Having survived the ordeals of the zombie infestation on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi the group of survivors thought they had finally found a safe place to escape from this terrifying nightmare. However, shortly after the battle-hardened team had landed their helicopter on a military ship, a furious storm hits and havoc quickly spreads on board. The survivors, along with newcomer John Morgan, find themselves struggling for their lives again, stranded on the secluded island of Palanai. Steam Announces Early Access For Upcoming Games, Let’s Players Influence Game Development

Now this really interesting. Steam has announced an early access program for a number of upcoming games, with which players can interact with the developers and influence the development of a game. Contrary to pre-order, early access is an immediate purchase of a game and gives the ability to the player to immediately download its latest build and experiment with it. This is precisely what is currently happening with Bohemia’s military sim, ArmA 3, and there are currently 11 more games supporting this new access program. Phillip Meyer has informed us about his upcoming PC Zeldalike Roguelike game, King Voxel. King Voxel will feature a unique cel shaded voxel graphics engine, a world generator, and dynamic camera controls, all of which are created by Phillip himself. There is an IndieGoGo campaign for this game that aims to raise $25K in the next 109 days, and you can find its campaign video below. It appears that IGN has already a promo article for DICE’s upcoming FPS title, suggesting that EA has partnered with IGN in order to promote it.
