NVIDIA Will Fully Implement Async Compute Via Driver Support, Oxide Confirms

Well, here is some good news for NVIDIA users. It appears that NVIDIA will fully implement Async Compute via an upcoming driver. As Oxide’s developer “Kollock” wrote on Overclock.net, NVIDIA has not fully implemented yet Async Compute in its driver, and Oxide is working closely with them in order to achieve that. Oculus Employees: “Preemption for context switches is best on AMD, Nvidia possibly catastrophic”

It appears that after the whole 970 VRAM fiasco, there is a new story that haunts NVIDIA. As we’ve already reported, NVIDIA’s GPUs are really weak in Async Compute scenarios. DOOM – New Trailer Focuses On The SnapMap Editor

Bethesda has released a new trailer for id Software’s DOOM that focuses on its SnapMap Editor. The SnapMap Editor aims to offer everyone the ability to create levels that can be played on all platforms. Unfortunately, id Software won’t release any additional mod tools for DOOM. Batman: Arkham Knight – Post-Patch – Low versus High Textures Comparison Screenshots

The major performance patch for Batman: Arkham Knight has just been released. While SLI and Crossfire are still not working properly, we decided to give this game a go. And, to be honest, we were really shocked with the game’s new graphics options/suggestions. According to its VRAM indicator, a GPU with at least 3GB of VRAM is required for Normal and High Textures. Enabling these textures on our GTX690 brought massive amounts of stuttering. Therefore, we decided to capture some screenshots and compare the game’s Low and High textures. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – PC Performance Analysis

On September 1st, two highly anticipated games got released on the PC. The first was Mad Max from Avalanche and the second is no other than Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. And as you may have guessed, this is another stellar PC port.
