Nintendo will release Pokemon Legends Z-A on Nintendo Switch on October 16th. And, to the surprise of no one, the game has been leaked, and it’s already playable on PC.
From what I can see, the game is playable on both the EDEN and the Ryujinx. And, although the Nintendo Switch version is locked at 30FPS, there is already a 60FPS patch you can download.
What this ultimately means is that PC gamers can fully enjoy this new Pokemon game on their machines. As said, only the Nintendo Switch version is playable. Pokemon Legends Z-A will also come out on Nintendo Switch 2. However, there is currently no Switch 2 emulator for PC.
I don’t believe there are any major graphical differences between the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions. Yes, the game will run with a higher framerate and resolution on Switch 2. However, the graphics settings should be similar.
So, in a way, PC gamers are already able to play the game as it will be played on Nintendo Switch 2. In fact, they can get a better experience. After all, with a high-end GPU, you can run it at Native 4K.
Like always, we won’t allow links to the emulators. We also won’t allow any links to the ROM file. So, don’t bother sharing a link to them. Still, this proves that Nintendo’s attempts to shut down Yuzu were kind of meaningless. Yes, Yuzu is no more, but we already have other emulators based on it. So, that was a nothing-burger.
Below, you can find a video that showcases how you can run Pokemon Legends Z-A on PC. I’ve also included a video with some PC gameplay footage. That video is not using the 60FPS patch. Still, that was the only PC video I could find. Nintendo will most likely take it down, so watch it while it’s still available.
Have fun!
