Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus mod removes annoying head bobbing

Modder ‘Methanhydrat’ has released a new mod for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus that lets players adjust, and completely disable, the annoying head bobbing. In addition, this mod allows players to use the dot crosshair regardless of the weapon they are using. This is still a WIP mod, however we strongly suggest downloading it if you can’t stand the head bobbing ‘feature.’

In order to install it, players will have to extract the file dinput8.dll to their main game folder. By default, this folder is: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wolfenstein.II.The.New.Colossus\”. Players will have then to start the NewColossusTweakerGUI.exe to configure the mod as desired, and then start the game.

It’s worth noting that Methanhydrat is responsible for some other amazing mods for PC games. A few days ago, we informed you about a mod that offered proper raw mouse input in Dead Space 2. That mod was also developed by Methanhydrat. Methanhydrat has also released mods mods for other titles that improve mouse input. Dark Souls, Metro 2033, FEAR 2 and Mass Effect are some of them.

Those interested can download the Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus mod from here.

Do note that, according to the modder, adjusting the amount of head bobbing can lead to glitches with the camera in certain situations. This includes issues with the war map, as well as unexpected turns when crawling with the constrictor. Players can use the corresponding toggle binding to temporarily disable the bob scaling when necessary.

Have fun!
