Windows 10 – Early Build Leaked – Xbox App For PC Spotted – MS To Talk More About PC Gaming This January

A consumer build for Windows 10 has been leaked and The Verge has reported some of the features that Microsoft has implemented in it. According to The Verge, a new Xbox App is now present in Windows 10. Not only that, but Cortana is now present as a Siri-like program that responds to text and voice commands.

The new Xbox App is said to act as a gateway to the entire Xbox ecosystem, including access to achievements, friends lists, activity feeds, and the Store.

Moreover, Microsoft has added new animations to the TaskView switcher in Windows 10.

What really surprised was the fact that Microsoft will – most probably – remove the traditional Control Panel. It is said that new settings app will take Control Panel’s place, so it remains to be seen whether this move will have a similar impact with the removal of the Start menu from Windows 8 or not.

Last but not least, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer claimed that he – and Microsoft – will be talking more about PC gaming in January 2015. A Windows 10 event is set to take place at Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters in January 2015, so it will be interesting to see whether DX12 will be showcased, and whether MS will decide to bring any of its triple-A game to our platform.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
