During this year’s PAX Prime, Deep Silver and Volition announced a new standalone expansion for Saints Row IV. This standalone expansion will be called Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, will come on both old-gen and current-gen platforms (including the PC) and will release this January.
Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will feature online co-op for two players, as well as new weapons, including the Arm Chairmageddon, a La-Z-Boy with guns, the Energy Caster, a Locust Gun and a weapon that fires a plague of frogs.
Here is a part of the press release sent by Deep Silver that focuses on the game’s story:
“After the space faring antics of Saints Row IV, many fans asked what we could do next… the answer? Shoot The Devil in the face. Play as either Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington as you tear apart Hell in a quest to save the leader of the Saints’ soul. Historical icons, old friends, older enemies, a talking gun, a full length musical number, and a whole lot of other shenanigans all await you in the open world standalone expansion playground that is Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell.”

Well atleast Gat has a proper role this time, compared to IV, won’t be suprised if they’re doing the same as Dead Island 2 and it’s spinoff , have a Next iteration and spin off in the works, but this is probably more on them testing next Gen capabilities then anything else.
Atleast with Volition they actually announce a PC version and don’t wait
a year to bring it to PC and also allow Click bait sites to throw a rumor about cancellation and not reiterate that it’s still coming. Just glad that DSOG isn’t one of those sites that run on click baits and actually has constructive, factual and informative info.

jan 27th. i guess i give it a try but is it me or is it just Saints Row 4 which was like a saints row 3’s DLC ?
Suprisingly this is the exact same was what Enter the Domanatrix was, a Standalone that got turned into a full game that should’ve stayed a DLC.
Hopefully they streamline it , since it seems you have powers again but no cars which makes sense, I mean in SR4 why drive when you can just fly ( I loved the cars but they always seemed to ignore them in 4)
Still the map will be half the size as Steelport which already wasn’t so big so I’m guessing 4-5 Hour game?
