Remedy is working on two new projects, neither of them related to Alan Wake

Remedy has announced that it is currently working on two new projects. Alan Wake fans, don’t get your hopes up as neither of them is related to the Alan Wake universe. So yeah, Alan Wake 2 has not been confirmed, and from the looks of it, we won’t be getting such a game anytime soon.

As Remedy stated:

“For a while now already, we’ve been developing a brand new Remedy game with a new partner. Our second team is working on an early concept, which will turn into another Remedy game sometime in the future.”

Remedy will not be present at E3 2016 or Gamescom. Instead it will focus on its two projects, and will announce them once they are ready for a reveal.

Regarding the Alan Wake universe, Remedy had this to say:

“Finally, we feel that it’s important to set the expectations right and let you, the fans, know that neither of the two projects currently in development is an Alan Wake game. We’re working on something else, but at the same time we’re exploring opportunities in other mediums to tell more Alan Wake stories.”
