NVIDIA has just released the GeForce 610.88 WHQL Driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the GeForce 610.88 WHQL Driver is optimized for Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer Beta, and Mistfall Hunter.
This new driver also comes with some bug fixes. For instance, it resolves some game crashes that could occur in Halo: Campaign Evolved on the RTX 50 Series GPUs. It also fixes some intermittent long pauses that could occur in Path of Exile 2 after extended gameplay sessions in DX12 mode.
Furthermore, the driver fixes some crashes that could occur in Strange Brigade/Zombie Army 4: Dead War while using the NVIDIA App In-Game Overlay. Plus, it improves game stability in Silent Hill F.
It’s also worth noting that the NVIDIA GeForce 610.88 WHQL Driver improves frame pacing in certain DX11 games with Smooth Motion on G-Sync monitors. This was an issue that the green team addressed via a hotfix. So, good news if you own a G-Sync monitor, as you can now enjoy your old DX11 games with smooth frametimes.
Finally, the NVIDIA GeForce 610.88 WHQL Driver will correctly apply RTX Dynamic Vibrance to Wallpaper Engine. It will also fix the crashes that could occur in Paint.NET when using NVIDIA Surround.
As I’ve said before, if you do not have the aforementioned issues, or if you do not plan to play the games I’ve mentioned, you can safely skip this driver. If, on the other hand, you want to stay up to date, you can go ahead and download it from here. Below, you can also find its complete changelog.
Stay tuned for more!
