NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 576.80 WHQL driver adds official support for FBC: Firebreak and REMATCH. It also adds support for the Path Tracing Update of DOOM: The Dark Ages.
It’s worth noting that this driver brings a number of game fixes. For instance, it brings stability improvements to Dune: Awakening and EA Sports FC 25. It also fixes some shadow flickers that could occur in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 should also be more stable now with this new driver.
And that’s not all. Other popular games should also run better and look nicer thanks to recent updates.
Games like GTA V Enhanced, Monster Hunter World, Forza Horizon 5, and Marvel Rivals should now be more stable. That means fewer crashes, smoother gameplay, and a better experience overall.
Also, if you play Ghost of Tsushima on PC, there’s good news! The update has fixed a problem where lights would flicker or look weird. Now, everything should look more normal and less distracting when you’re exploring or fighting at night.
Then we have Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. As the green team noted, the new driver fixes some image corruption issues. Enshrouded should also no longer crash at launch.
The NVIDIA GeForce 576.80 WHQL driver also packs some general fixes. NVIDIA claims that there are acoustic improvements for idle and low loads on the GeForce RTX 5090 FE. That’s a neat improvement for all those who own this high-end GPU. Video playback in a web browser will no longer show brief red/green flash corruption. Also, certain DisplayPort 1.4 monitors will no longer display random black screen flicker when connected to DisplayPort 2.1 graphics card.
All in all, this appears to be a solid new driver. So, if you own an NVIDIA RTX-50 series GPU, I’d suggest trying it. If, on the other hand, you don’t suffer from any of the issues listed below, you can skip it.
