New No Man’s Sky experimental update improves initial load times by 30%, packs visual improvements

Hello Games has released a new experimental patch for No Man’s Sky. According to the release notes, this patch improves initial load times by 30% and Warp loads by approximately 5-10%, fixes numerous issues and features some cool visual improvements.

Going into more details, this new experimental update improves the appearance of clouds in 4K/1440p modes, increases the visibility of underground toxic hazards and improves visually some exotic biomes, the space station technology merchants and the buried technology modules.

Furthermore, this new patch improves the mapping of the Steam Controller, fixes a number of visual issues around using the Analyser Visor in very specific circumstances, improves the appearance of HUD markers on player ships, improves the target locking for ship PvP, and resolves some crash issues.

To play in Experimental, right-click on No Man’s Sky from the Steam library page and select “Properties”. Among the available tabs will be the “BETAS” tab. Select “Code: 3xperimental” in the dropdown menu under “Select the beta you would like to opt into”.
