Lies of P new temp

NEOWIZ has accidentally removed Denuvo from Lies of P

A few hours ago, we informed you about a new patch for Lies of P. Well, along with some free content for the game, it appears that the developers have also removed Denuvo by accident. Or at least that’s my assumption.

The game’s Steam store page still lists Denuvo. However, we can confirm that the latest update does not have it. The developers haven’t replaced this version yet. They might have removed Denuvo officially, or they could release an update to bring it back.

Since the game has already been cracked, I don’t see a reason to restore Denuvo. Pirates are already playing it as we speak. So, NEOWIZ would only hurt the legitimate owners of Lies of P. And I get it. Denuvo would protect the game’s upcoming DLC. Still, it would suck.

As I wrote in my PC Performance Analysis, Lies of P runs really smoothly on PC. And that was with Denuvo. And although it’s powered by Unreal Engine 4, it still had excellent frametimes and hardly any stutters. So, if NEOWIZ puts Denuvo back, the game should still run well on PCs.

Speaking of Denuvo, here are some other games that no longer have it. Bethesda has removed it from Wolfenstein Youngblood and Doom Eternal. Also, Mortal Kombat 11 does not have it anymore. Then we have Bandai Namco who has removed it from Tekken 7 and NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER.

Capcom also took out Denuvo from some of their older games. Resident Evil 2 RemakeResident Evil 3 RemakeDevil May Cry 5 and Monster Hunter World do not have it anymore.

Finally, Square Enix took Denuvo out of games like The Diofield ChronicleVALKYRIE ELYSIUM, and TRIANGLE STRATEGY. Plus, both Octopath Traveler and its sequel no longer have it. Oh, and let’s not forget Forspoken and LIVE A LIVE.

Stay tuned for more!
