Multiplayer tactical space-based shooter, Boundary, now targets a March 2023 release date

Surgical Scalpels has updated the Steam store page for Boundary, revealing that the game now targets a March 2023 release date. The game was originally targeting a 2020 release date, however, the developers decided to delay it until Summer 2021. And, as you may have guessed, the game did not hit that release date window.

Boundary will put players in the role of a heavily armed astronauts in space engaging in fierce zero gravity firefights. The game will feature fully customizable loadouts, weapons and ammo types. Furthermore, there will be 6 classes of Astronaut for players to choose from in multiple game modes.

The modes that will be available at launch are: Free For All, Team Deathmatch, Facility Capture, and Orbital Purge modes. In case you’re wondering, Facility Capture and Orbital Purge will be based around Domination and Elimination gameplay.

Lastly, Boundary will feature real-time Ray Tracing effects on the PC, and you can download an official benchmark tool.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. It looks nice but I cant see this game being a big success. It was kinda done before with the game Shattered Horizon and that failed to keep people playing for very long before it was forgotten about.

    1. I thought this game is a sequel to shattered horizon, apparently it’s not, but surely the dev were inspired by it.

  2. Meh… Just one of those modern games based on a single gimmick, which will bore people after only a few hours.
