Minecraft has sold more than 120 million copies worldwide, has 55 million monthly players

Microsoft has announced that Minecraft has sold more than 120 million copies worldwide across all platforms. In addition, the publisher revealed that there are 55 monthly players, which is more than 15 million monthly players since last June.

According to the official stats, the PC/Mac version has sold around 25.5 million copies worldwide.

It’s worth noting that Minecraft is available in a lot of platforms; from Android and Windows Phone to WiiU and Playstation Vita. Minecraft has been released in 13 platforms, so these PC numbers are in fact great.
