Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver have announced that starting today, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is free to play on PC. Until Monday, players can download the game from Steam and start playing it.
In the sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith’s forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.
It’s also worth noting that a special discount runs until November 13th, 7PM CET. PC gamers can get the game with a 40% discount. Moreover, you will be able to transfer your save to the full version once you purchase it.
You can go ahead and download the game from Steam right now.
Speaking of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I suggest taking a look at these mods for it. For starters, we have a mod that lets you play the entire game with a third-person camera. Then we have these HD packs that improve the textures of NPCs and environments.
Another mod you can download is this one, which allows you to save everywhere. Async Compute Mod is another incredible mod that can improve the game’s performance. I’ve tested it and it does work. This isn’t a placebo mod.
Sadly, the Async Compute Mod is not compatible with this mod that enhances the game’s Global Illumination. So, you’ll have to choose between better visuals and better performance.
From the looks of it, KCD2 has sold incredibly well. In just one day, the game passed one million copies. It also hit over 250K concurrent players on Steam. Warhorse Studios has also revealed that it passed two million sales in less than two weeks. The game also runs great on PC.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

So we are probably looking at a PC port sometime in 2028.
All fine by me, because gaming on Linux will have reached a point by that time where it will just work™ (well, at least more often than that claim worked for Todd Howard).
Yup, I don't expect the PC version of the game to come out before the end of 2027 at the very least.
After all, Rockstar treats PC gamers as second class citizens. lol.
I'll be playing The Outer Worlds 2 instead.
That game is a static pile of dog sh*t, have fun.
Thanks, dipshit.
You got it f4g
Took me 2 or 3 days to realize that, as impressive and realistic as it is and looks, it felt more like work than game and fun to play it to me, so…
I'm getting older and losing the patience and energy i had for these games in my teens and tweens.
The sword combat is extremely annoying.
If anything it's a proof you aren't that old, slow-paced games like KKD are made for retirees.
Sounds good, doesn't work.
When i was a teen in the late 90s to early 00s, I had all the patience in the world to immerse myself into what were new experiences if it demanded taking on the slow pace and laborious gameplay, and doing all the stuff the game wanted me to do.
But now that I've about seen and done all of that across games and decades, there's little novelty to it so I don't have the patience anymore, can't be bothered to waste hours working in game to maybe milk some fun out of it.

Gay 2 play.
