Now here is a mod that passed under my radar. Last month, modder ‘Javier66’ released a mod that allows you to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in third-person mode. This is something that will please a lot of KCD2 fans.
Now what’s cool about this mod is that you can switch between first-person and third-person modes on the fly. As such, you will be able to explore the environments in third-person, and fight your enemies in first-person.
You can download the mod from this link.
To install it, you’ll have to go to your Steam games library, right click on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, go to “General”, “Set launch options…”, and write: -devmode +exec user.cfg
Afterward, you’ll have to place the downloaded CFG files into your main \KingdomComeDeliverance2\ folder. If you already have user.cfg file in your game folder, just paste the content of my .cfg file to the one you already have. And that’s it. By pressing F3, you will switch to third-person mode. Then, with F4, you will switch back to first-person.
This mod should be compatible with the HD Texture Packs we’ve shared. So, right now, you can download packs that improve the textures of NPCs and environments. Needless to say, I highly recommend using them as these packs will improve the game’s visuals.
Another mod you can download is this one that allows you to save everywhere. Async Compute Mod is another incredible mod that can improve the game’s performance. I’ve tested it and it does work. This isn’t a placebo mod.
Sadly, the Async Compute Mod is not compatible with this mod that enhances the game’s Global Illumination. So, you’ll have to choose between better visuals and better performance.
From the looks of it, KCD2 has sold incredibly well. In just one day, the game passed one million copies. It also hit over 250K concurrent players on Steam. Warhorse Studios has also revealed that it passed two million sales in less than two weeks. The game also runs great on PC.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
