Halo Reach feature

Halo: Reach Firefight PC Beta/Flight has been launched

Great news for all PC Halo fans as the Firefight flight/beta phase for Halo: Reach is a go. 343 Industries has just sent 10K invites to those that have registered for the flighting program, so be sure to check out your inboxes.

Once, and if you’ve received an invitation, you will be able to download the game right away. In other words, the PC beta phase is a go.

In case you weren’t aware of, Firefight is a solo or co-op campaign mode where up to four players can fight against waves of Covenant attackers. This mode allows players to battle in multiple environments based on campaign maps. Moreover, the game allows players to fight on foot or in vehicles, and against increasingly difficult waves of Covenant attackers.

Halo: Reach’s Firefight has a large number of customization options and new features. For example, Matchmaking support is available, as well as many new game modes such as Generator Defense and the Versus Mode.

343 Industries plans to launch a third beta/flight after Firefight that will focus on PVP matchmaking.

Last but not least, Halo Reach will be using an industry-leading anti-cheat solution. This anti-cheat will be used to protect matchmade games played on dedicated servers, and that it will also allow mods to be used.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
