Electronic Arts has just announced the next part in its Madden NFL series, EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26. The game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech on PC, and you can also find below its official PC system requirements.
EA claims that the game is powered by a new AI-driven machine learning system trained on nearly a decade of real NFL data. As such, the game introduces QB DNA and Coach DNA. These new features aim to deliver authentic quarterback behaviors and adaptive coaching strategies.
EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 will also have physics-based interactions, including catch tackles, stiff-arms, and trucks. According to EA, these will deliver authentic contact outcomes. Plus, the game will have some new mechanics like Custom Defensive Zones along with new knockouts and swats.
The publisher also claims that the game’s weather will impact its gameplay. Snow, fog, and wet conditions will affect visibility, movement, stamina, and ball security.
To run EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 with 10GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 570. The game will also require 65GB of free disk space.
EA recommends using an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with 12GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or an AMD RX 6600 XT.
From what we know, EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 will be using the Frostbite Engine. It will also support the DX12 API, however, there is no mention at all about any Ray Tracing effects.
Before closing, I should note that the Steam store page states that the game will require the EA app. It will also require an EA account. This might disappoint some, but these are things that Madden NFL 25 also required.
EA will release EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 on August 14th.
