CD Projekt RED confirms that Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a multiplayer mode

CD Projekt RED has just confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be getting a multiplayer mode. However, this mode will not be available at launch. Instead the team aims to implement it via a post-launch update.

CD Projekt RED will dedicate its resources at this point to polish and release the single-player mode of Cyberpunk 2077. Then, and after releasing the game’s free DLCs and paid single-player content, the team will implement the game’s multiplayer mode.

Of course this shouldn’t surprise anyone. As we’ve already reported, CD Projekt RED’s  team in Wroclaw has been experimenting with the multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077 for quite some time.

Funnily enough, some players suggested that the character creator would make a lot of sense for the game’s multiplayer mode. After all, CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that most of the game’s cut-scenes will be in first-person mode. And… well… it appears they were right.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases in April 2020!
