Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will support both DLSS and FSR 2.0

Ubisoft has just revealed that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will support both DLSS and FSR 2.0 PC upscaling techniques. Additionally, the team has released a beautiful PC trailer that you can watch below.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will have ray-traced reflections and shadows. Surprisingly enough, there is no mention of ray-traced Global Illumination (RTGI). Back in 2021, Ubisoft claimed that the game would support ray-traced global illumination and ray-traced reflections. Ubisoft had stated that with Ray Tracing, the game can now illuminate Pandora in a way they couldn’t before.

My guess is that the team has dropped support for RTGI and is instead using a real-time global illumination solution. This is also what Bethesda is doing with Starfield. So while both of these games have real-time global illumination, they don’t have ray-traced global illumination.

Ubisoft has also stated that the PC version of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will have extensive graphics settings and a benchmark tool. The team also promises to take advantage of high-core count processors.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will release on December 7th!
