Immortals of Aveum Patch 1 released, full changelog revealed

Ascendant Studios has released Patch #1 for its latest magic FPS game, Immortals of Aveum. According to the changelog, this first update improves the shader compilation screen. Moreover, it packs a number of fixes and may slightly improve performance.

Going into more details, the developers claim that Patch #1 for Immortals of Aveum packs performance improvements, including areas where in-world Corruption is present. However, I didn’t really see any major performance increase while testing this update.

I’ve also seen reports about numerous stutters and ghosting issues when using DLSS 3. Regarding the stuttering issues, we strongly suggest disabling SMT/Hyper-Threading. As we’ve showcased, Immortals of Aveum is one of the few games in which Hyper-Threading can have a negative performance impact on high-end CPUs. As for DLSS 3, we didn’t really experience any ghosting issues. Do note that DLSS 3 performs differently on Intel and AMD CPUs, so this might be the reason why DLSS 3 runs fine on our AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

As always, Steam will download this first update for Immortals of Aveum the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.
