Alan Wake Sequel Could Be Named “Alan Wake’s Return”, Remedy Registers Trademark

Alan Wake fans, get ready for a treat. Remedy has just registered the “Alan Wake’s Return” trademark (thanks NeoGAF). Remedy filled this trademark on February 23rd, and it’s worth noting that the company has already registered the Alan Wake’s Return website.

Remedy’s Sam Lake has already stated that the team wants to return to Alan Wake.

Remedy is also adding an Alan Wake easter egg in Quantum Break, reminding everyone that they are not over with the Alan Wake franchise.

Back in 2015, Polygon released a video showing a prototype version of Alan Wake 2. This version has been canned, however we are pretty sure that some of our readers (that have not seen this footage yet) will appreciate it.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Sam Lake I love you! Thanks for convincing Microsoft to do this.I am sure this will be even better than Quantum Break!Faq Microsoft bye the way. They sould have let you do this in the first place…

    1. That would be the logical thing to do… But this is Microsoft, they’re gonna blame it on pc version not selling enough to justify saving money by not creating a pc version of their future games at all.

      1. Well, that depends. I don’t know the specific costs related to porting Alan Wake or Quantum Break to PC, but common sense indicates it’s a fraction of the development budget, and Alan Wake sold ~1.5 million copies just on Steam.

    1. Exactly, random Internet person, Alan Wake™ is one of the raddest action/horror games I’ve ever played!

Remember that both Alan Wake™ and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare™ (the excellent follow-up to the original!) are currently available on Steam and highly recommended.

Hopefully this new entry in the acclaimed Alan Wake™ franchise will make use of all the revolutionary new features of DirectX 12, exclusive to the Microsoft Windows 10™ platform.

      1. Yeapp fantastic games, I played Alan Wake and the dlc’s as American Nightmare with nVidia 3d vision 2. It was F*CKN awesome!

      2. You said it, person I am not affiliated with in any way. Aside from well-established classics such as Alan Wake™ and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare™, gamers can also look forward to Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming AAA action game Quantum Break™ – nominated for Most Anticipated Game at the 2015 Game Awards.
