Modder ‘Instanity’ has released a 4K Texture Pack for Red Dead Redemption 2. This pack is similar to the one released for Assassin’s Creed Unity and Black Flag. In other words, the mod attempts to improve the textures of all story/main characters.
But which characters are the main/story ones? Well, according to the modder, all the characters that appear in the game’s cut-scenes are considered story characters. So, this pack improves the faces, bodies, and hair/beards of these characters.

Is it my fault that the entairtinament industry is taken over by insufferable hipster loser redditors who do things like having side quests in a viking game about fixing the sex life of a couple instead of you know doing viking stuff that fit in the era the game takes place? “oh they are just sidequests you dont have to do them”, new vegas had sidequests as well but they were also part of the main story, they were all connected and fitted to the lore and the setting, they werent quirky jokes. I swear sidemissions in modern games are like you took the wacky wasteland perk but instead of wacky wasteland its “keep portland weird” perk.;
Im a progressive hipster and reddit user. I think you make a fair point. I hate it when media artists do their virtue-signaling (left or right) in storytelling as a gimmick. If its important to the story, ok sure, but even then….how important is it ever?
The problem with identity politics is that youre actually removing a character’s personal-identity and just conforming to some stereotype as if thats all their life is about, and thats just not how real people work. If your sex-life or religious beliefs or ethnic heritage is all you talk about and all that defines your identity, then you are a boring human being. sorry!
I think Miles Morales might be an example of a character that lays on a lot of identity elegantly without it really defining the hero or over-focusing on any of it. Everyone in that story seems realistically like there is more important things in their world than just their racial/sexual/cultural identity and thats more like the world we live in.

I am so tired of games having a setting and doing anything but what the setting is about, now its not “variety” its like saying that you have a “variety” of stuff to do in ubisoft games when in reality its the same copy paste stuff, its more quantity than quality, most of modern entairtinament mises the point of the setting they use on purpose in order to promote their californian politics. They use it like a vessel to promote their ideas, a trojan horse. Whats that you wanted science fiction? Sorry we doing LGBTQ stuff and allegories about racism and ww2 instead.
is there a mod that removes every damn chore from the game so I don’t have to do any of them? like feeding your horse, boiling a kettle, stuff like that?
Might try it again. Game was a blurry mess ( I hate TAA with a passion) when I tried it the first time at 1440p. Now that we have DLAA mods and texture packs might not look like sh@%. Nvidia Control Panel AF doesn’t work on Vulkan either and that can really clear up games nicely when you have it override. So not having that hurt as well.
