The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has just been released, and its first cool mods have appeared online. So, let’s see what you can download in order to improve your gaming experience.
The first mod that a lot of players will want to use is this one. In the remaster/remake, the devs changed the Male/Female setting in character customization to Body 1/2. This was an unnecessary change. So, to get back to Male/Female, you’ll have to use this mod.
Another cool mod is the Ultra+ Mod. This mod aims to improve the visuals of the game. To be more precise, it improves the fog quality, fixes fog ghosting and fixes fog artifacting against the sky. It also enables fog in Lumen for GI and reflections. Plus, it increases the quality of lighting and reflections. Oh, and it also adds support for Ray Reconstruction.
Oblivion Remastered HQ Music is a mod that brings high-quality music to the game. Each track has been remastered from the original OST with improved clarity, dynamics, and balanced volume.
Then we have a mod that enables every creature and NPC to catch on fire from open flames. This is a cool mod that can enhance the game’s combat. After all, it allows you to set some fire traps. So, make sure to download it from this link.
Although the game does not have a Photomode, this mod attempts to add one. It’s simple, but some of you may find it cool. Just don’t expect it to be as advanced as an official Photomode.
Finally, we have a mod that can increase the amount of stuff you can carry. Another mod increases the amount of money vendors have. As such, you can sell more of your items/weapons to them. We also have a mod that can increase (or decrease) the experience you gain. This will be ideal for those who hate grinding. There is also a mod that makes all spell effects available for spellmaking/enchanting. The mod also adds some utility spells, and gives access to previously unavailable effects.
Before closing, I should note that while there are some mods that claim to fix the game’s stuttering issues, I did not have any luck with any of them. Oblivion Remastered suffers from traversal stutters. And, so far, none of the performance mods has fixed them. This does not really surprise me. After all, traversal stutters occur due to how the game has been programmed. The only way to completely fix them is via a future game patch. So, let’s hope that Virtuos will do something about them.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
